Newcastle drew Irish defender

Newcastle continued with the selection and two days before the start of the season in the Football League Championship, the team bought the Aston Villa defender Kieran Clark for 5 million pounds.
The footballer, who can play in several positions, is the eighth new addition to the Magpies before the campaign, having signed a contract for 5 years.
The Irish international, who played at the Euro 2016 will be offline even for Friday`s match against Fulham to launch the campaign in the second tier of English football.
`Newcastle is a big club analyzed by sport predictions and I am very happy to be here. This is a team that goes in the right direction and I`m excited to be a part of it. Things got rapidly over the last few days and I`m glad that it`s over.`, said Clark.
The footballer played invariably at the Aston Villa so far as he debuted for the first team in 2009. However, he became the seventh player to leave the club, which is also in the Football League Championship.
`Kieran is a versatile footballer who has solid experience at the English football, so that will bring us a good balance and competition and I`m glad he`s with us.`, said the manager Rafa Benitez.
